Does It Get Any Cuter Than This?

I know I'm posting this on October 1st....however I'm creating this post on September 30th, and fall doesn't officially start until October 1st - in my book anyway! So I'm squeezing one last summer-esque post in. Seriously.....how cute is this??? You HAVE to check out this crazy cute website. www.thehappycampers.co.uk You can actually rent these out, and cruise around with your fam! Meet Constance....

**And this little guy too! His name is Luigi...oh yeah, did I mention that part? They have names for each "retro rental" and a full on bio, as if they were an actual person. I'll tell you one thing - these cars have BIG personality!

All Mapped Out

I cannot seem to get vintage, framed maps out of my brain! I have been struggling with what to do with the space over our bed in our bedroom. I bought a bunch of black frames from Aaron Brother's a while back during their penny sale......boooorrrrinnnggg.......so under the bed they sit - collecting dust. So, onto plan B - MAPS! I LOVE the nautical feel, and the ever-s0-slightly yellowed paper. Here's a few examples....

I love the clear edge around each of these maps:

Looks like Paris!

More Maps!

These ones are hard to see - but they're on the left hand side of the picture (It's like Where's Waldo!)

For the little more modern home

Here's for the HUMONGOUS wall in your house.....Look at all those MAPS!!

I'm hoping to find some super cheap bamboo frames at our thrift store, or maybe just wait for the next penny sale....or if someone would like to give me an early Christmas present.....

Our House!

I thought before posting anything about interiors, I'd share the exterior of our house. We moved in about a year ago to my grandparents 1920's beach house. It was built by Charlie Chaplin for his crazy mother. There were no other houses on the cliff, so he bought some land, built her a house, and stuck her out there all by herself! (Don't worry mom- I won't do that to you) I had the extreme opportunity to design the ENTIRE interior upon moving home from Northern CA. My grandparents live in a retirement community a few miles away and did not want to take on the task of re-doing the inside. I jumped (a complete understatement) at the chance to design it! And the perk was getting to move in when it was finished! I'll post more before and afters of the inside, as well as a few weekend projects we've been working on. Have a fabulous weekend!

Diving In!

Here it is! My first blog post on my very own blog! I've been silently blog stalking other blogs for the last year and figure it's about time I contribute to the blog community with a blog of my own. Stay tuned for posts on interior design, beach living and life! So here it is, I'm diving in!
